摘要: Objective We evaluated the effects of grape juice (Vitis labrusca L.) on dyslipidemia, resistance to insulin, and left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in mice homozygous for absence LDL receptor gene (LDLr -/-) under a hyperlipidemic diet. Methodology divided 30 male (3 months old) into three groups (n = 10); HL group was fed high-fat diet, HLU received diet 2 g/kg/day juice, HLS simvastatin (20 mg/kg/day). assessed blood pressure profile mice. also determined levels C-reactive protein (CRP) lipid profile, glycemic insulinemic profiles, calculated HOMA-IR. Cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, interstitial collagen deposit, expression CD40 ligand (CD40L) metalloproteinases 9 were immunohistologically. Results After 60 days, treated with showed similar results as those simvastatin. The use fruit attenuated dyslipidemia insulin significantly increased high cholesterol density lipoproteins (HDLc). antioxidant potential phenolic compounds associated increase HDLc prevented development LVH arterial hypertension since it inhibited inflammatory response induced by pathway its CD40L. Consequently, there lower MMP-2 MMP-9 serum CRP. Conclusion Grape has hypolipidemic cardiac protective potential, presenting effect that through direct action compounds, or indirectly, via anti-inflammatory activity HDLc. These suggest is functional food possessing prevent cardiovascular diseases.
