Interplay of prior knowledge, self-regulation and motivation in complex multimedia learning environments

摘要: This study examined the direct and indirect effects of medical clerkship students' prior knowledge, self-regulation motivation on learning performance in complex multimedia environments. The data from 386 students six schools were analysed using structural equation modeling. model revealed that knowledge directly positively affected their outcome, self-efficacy approach goal orientation. learners' had a significant positive effect outcome. mastery orientation Interestingly, inconsistent with our hypothesis, showed negative avoidance These findings help develop more comprehensive understanding role individual characteristics tasks
