摘要: In this paper, we aim to develop an integrated Markov model for fleet management decisions such as sizing, vehicle leasing, loaded dispatching and empty repositioning in a two-terminal shuttle service, where vehicles are moving between terminals satisfy random customer demands. The problem is approached two stages. the first stage, optimal policy (including leasing) derived with fixed size. second size optimised. provides framework examine detailed control structure of policy, which can lead much simpler near-optimal policies that easy interpret implement terminal managers. Numerical examples given demonstrate results.
