摘要: Ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys were applied in the preliminary stage of a project structural monitoring and restoration facade Collemaggio Basilica, medieval church located L’Aquila (central Italy). GPR very useful evaluating state conservation identifying thickness its walls, forms deterioration masonry with ashlar facing rubble core, locations middle cornice supports. was demonstrated to be an ideal non-destructive method investigate ancient structures high cultural historical value. © 2004 Elsevier SAS.
