摘要: Abstract Seven terraces of upper Weihe River in the Longxi Basin on north flank Qinling Mountains are capped with a succession loess units and paleosols that correlate standard marine isotope chronology. Based fieldwork terrace ages, which were determined using loess-paleosol stratigraphy, paleomagnetic, optical stimulated luminescence (OSL) radiocarbon dating, results show fluvial fills deposited during oxygen stages (MISs) 22, 20, 18/16, 12, 6, 4 2, respectively, whereas terracing occurred glacial–interglacial transitions. This, turn, points to eccentricity-related climatic changes may have driven recurrent incision aggradation processes significantly influenced formation staircase River, through direct indirect influence both temperature precipitation fluviatile activity. On basis ages its heights, rates enhanced from 865 412 ka (∼0.27 m/ka), decreased 412 128 ka (∼0.09 m/ka), increased present (∼0.32 m/ka).
