摘要: The Kaiser-Permanente Drug Reaction Monitoring System is, to our knowledge, the first epidemiologic adverse drug reaction study that has systematically monitored ambulatory patients. Prescriptions dispensed and clinic diagnoses made at medical center in San Francisco are recorded a central patient computer record. Rates of untoward events developing users nonusers drugs computed compared. Drug-event associations evaluated as whether cause effect relationship is likely. Analysis data obtained from over 220,000 pharmacy visits by about 75,000 patients during period, July December 1969, provided information outpatient usage patterns evidence both for existence certain reactions against occurrence others.
