摘要: AbstractThe prevalence of hookworm infection in Koraput district, Orissa State, India, was 80%. In order to find a cheap, easy apply, and effective way combating the anemia we have made blind investigation on effect tetrachlorethylene (TCE) dose 2 ml, iron (ferrous sulphate, 400 mg daily for 30 days), TCE combination. These 3 kinds treatment were compared with placebo group. After an observation period 100–110 days highly significant (P < 0.01) increase hemoglobin values found + group as well group; between these two groups there no difference. We also shown that ml has better worming than single ml. The larger is tolerated even by children. Administration sufficient doses mass combat recommended. Iron should be added when objective clinical symptoms are present.
