Spontaneous resolution of ectopic tubal pregnancy: natural history

摘要: Objective To determine the characteristics and long-term outcome of women succeeding or failing expectant management ectopic pregnancy (EP). Design Prospective, defined protocol. Setting University-affiliated gynecology department. Patients We used a protocol that selected with laparoscopic confirmed tubal declining plasma hCG values. Over 5-year period, 60 representing 20.1% EPs fulfilled inclusion criteria. Women were followed serial testing transvaginal ultrasound. Main Outcome Measure Success failure management. Results Expectant was successful in 28 (47.7%) patients. Thirty-two (53.3%) failed management, treatment procedure required. There no difference resultant ipsilateral patency 1-year fertility rates those Analysis showed face values starting > 2,000 mlU/mL (conversion to SI unit, 1.00), 93.3% whereas Conclusion conclude should be offered as option only fulfilling criteria for good prognosis.
