摘要: A simple, yet representative, burner geometry is used for the investigation of highly swirling turbulent unconfined, non-premixed, flames natural gas. The configuration comprises a ceramic faced bluff-body with central fuel jet. surrounded by an annulus that delivers primary flow air. entire assembly housed in wind tunnel providing secondary co-flowing stream This hybrid bluff-body/swirl stabilizes complex not unlike those found practical combustors, amenable to modelling because its well-defined boundary conditions.
