摘要: Two severely disabled children with epilepsy, a 6-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl, had been treated valproic acid from the ages of 5 6 months, respectively, developed Fanconi syndrome. Both patients were bedridden fed by means nasogastric or gastrostomy tube. Because their syndrome appeared to be caused acid, that treatment was stopped; for both patients, then resolved, in months 3 respectively. Severely handicapped may at risk acid-induced renal involvement. Although involvement is an uncommon adverse effect due therapy has rarely reported. In few previous cases, who through tube, taken average approximately 7 years. Nonetheless, blood levels normal. Urinary abnormalities disappeared 4 as also present two cases. The potential must considered epilepsy are especially children.
