摘要: Utilization of oxygen-enriched air in diesel engines holds potential for low exhaust smoke and particulate emissions. The majority the oxygen-enriched-air combustion-related studies so far are experimental nature, where observed results understood on an overall basis. This paper deals with fundamental considerations associated air-fuel combustion process to enhance understanding concept. increase adiabatic flame temperature, composition gases at equilibrium, also changes thermodynamic transport properties due oxygen-enrichment standard intake computed. effects fuel evaporation rate, ignition delay, premixed burnt fraction evaluated. Appropriate delay correlation reflect proposed. notion as being akin leaning fuel-air mixture is refuted basis fundamentally different requirements process.
