摘要: Because of a number technological advancements, unconventional hydrocarbons, and in particular shale gas, have transformed the US economy. Much is being learned, as demonstrated by reduced cost extracting gas over past five years. However, challenges still need to be addressed. Many these represent grand scientific tasks, overcoming which will positive impacts, ranging from reduction environmental footprint production improvements leaps forward diverse sectors, including chemical manufacturing catalytic transformations.
