Suicidal status, depression, and intellectual functioning in preadolescent psychiatric inpatients

摘要: Abstract One hundred six preadolescent psychiatric inpatients were studied. Suicidal behavior occurred in children with most diagnoses but was significantly associated only a major depressive disorder (MDD). All MDD exhibited suicidal behavior. A borderline personality (BPD) the other DSM-III Axis I or II diagnosis which associated. The co-occurrence of BPD and not related to more serious Intelligence test scores status severity depression. implications developmental level for these findings discussed.
