摘要: Erica australis L. (Ericaceae) is used in traditional medicine to treat many free-radical related ailments. In the present work, stability and biological activity of plant aqueous extracts submitted an vitro digestive process were investigated. Chemical was monitored by HPLC-DAD LC-MS/MS, while bioactivities evaluated through inhibition acetylcholinesterase (AChE) DPPH radical scavenging activity. Both extracts, whose main components flavonol glycosides, inhibited AChE, showing IC50 values 257.9 ± 6.2 µg/mL 296.8 8.8 µg/mL for decoction infusion, respectively. Significant activities also revealed both as denoted decoction, 6.7 0.1 µg/mL, 10.5 0.3 µg/mL. After submission gastric pancreatic juices, no remarkable alterations composition or observed, suggesting that may pass gastrointestinal tract, keeping their therefore properties. Moreover, bioavailability studied a Caco-2 cell model, showed compounds can permeate membrane, which condition exert activities. Our results add further support potential E. its antioxidant neuroprotective
