摘要: Phytoremediation has been gaining interest as a sustainable approach for management of the sites contaminated with toxic/hazardous substances. Several plants have reported in literature that potential simultaneous execution phytoremediation and production useful products like biogas, bioethanol, biodiesel, charcoals, fibres, etc. during process. Among several plant species, present chapter focused on Cannabis sativa L., multipurpose annual herbaceous species which wide range application seed oil, industrial fibre, food, livestock feed, medicine well significant place recreation, religious spiritual practices. L. to serve phytoremedial agent removal toxic metals from yields high biomass could be used bioenergy. The energy yield biofuel biogas comparable most crops. provides an overview capacity resolving environmental issues soil along its abilities generate bioenergy meet demand future generations.
