摘要: The thermal and crystal morphological properties of poly[ethylene teraphthalate] (PET) poly(ethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) (PEN) biaxially oriented films were compared to amorphous other isotropic semi-crystalline samples. Crystal melting as a function temperature was characterized by modulated DSC (TMDSC) found begin just above the glass transition for both films. About 75°C transitions, substantial exothermic recrystallization begins continues through final region in maximum non-reversing TMDSC signal signifies activity with peaks at 248°C 258°C PET PEN, respectively. endotherm detected 260°C 270°C is shown data independent rapid heating rate point determinations be due species recrystallized during scan. results are initially melt crystallized volume fraction rigid (Frigid=total plus ‘rigid or non-crystalline species’) measured data, contrasted area film surface very high resolution atomic force microscopy (AFM) phase data. suggest that 11 nm wide hard domains PET, 21 PEN AFM consist stiffness interphase species.
