摘要: A significant rise of groundwater pollution has been registered worldwide, where nitrate recognized as the most widespread pollutant. In this context, vulnerability assessment and more specifically delineation “Nitrate Vulnerable Zones” represents a reliable cost-effective tool for management. study, Agricultural Nitrate Hazard Index (ANHI) method was applied to two case histories in southern Italy: Lete River catchment eastern sector Campania Plain. The first area is characterized by agricultural activities low anthropic influence while part Plain, around Caserta city, strongly urbanized developed on an extensive alluvial plain filled with volcaniclastic deposits. parametric suggests moderate hazard natural setting highlighting how intensive crop farming livestock that negatively influenced results. For strong urbanization industrial crops are dominant, very identified. quality value, contrast methodology results underlines importance further risk evaluations based accurate aquifer characterization. multiple year land use change climate variation could highlights difference between study areas.
