摘要: Movements in and out of poverty are core interest to both policymakers economists. Yet the panel data needed analyze such movements rare. In this paper, authors build on methodology used construct maps show how repeated cross-sections household survey can allow inferences be made about poverty. They illustrate that method permits estimation bounds mobility, provide non-parametric parametric approaches obtaining these bounds. test well works sets for Vietnam Indonesia where we able compare our true estimates. The results sufficiently encouraging offer prospect some limited, basic, insights into mobility duration settings historically it was judged necessary analysis were unavailable.
