摘要: This paper presents a study on differences in political trust between immigrants of different origins, residing either Denmark, Norway or Sweden. The main question is how the general propensity to hold confidence various institutions may be explained by previous systems experiences. Utilising recent survey data we seek explain variations incorporating country-level based Corruption Perceptions Index. Empirical analyses suggest that strongest found among who share background high-corruption countries. However, also find length residence host country negatively influences trust; hence, over time, belonging this category will positioned more par with rest population. Analysing possible reasons for conditional effect, experiences discrimination an insufficient explanation. Instead argue from less trust-worthy regimes initially tend have very bright view system performance stable democracies, such as Scandinavian countries, but experience and knowledge acquired time engender critical, though arguably realistic, outlook.
