摘要: Recent studies of primary visual cortex (V1) redefine layers 3 and 4 V1 in monkeys show that monkeys, apes humans have different laminar specializations. Projections from define a smaller, but complete, third area, dorsomedial area. The middle temporal area has two types motion-sensitive modules with inputs cytochrome oxidase columns V1. Second-level somatosensory areas been described humans, second-level auditory is shown to respond stimuli.
