摘要: Aim Ecologists seeking to describe patterns at ever larger scales require compilations of data on the global abundance and distribution species. Comparable biological are needed elucidate mechanisms behind these patterns, but have received far less attention. We assess availability across an entire assemblage: well-documented demersal marine fauna United Kingdom. also test whether for a species depends its taxonomic group, maximum body size, number times it has been recorded in biogeographic database, or commercial conservation importance.
