摘要: Collisions of very heavy ions at energies close to the Coulomb barrier are discussed as a unique tool study behaviour electron-positron field in presence strong external electromagnetic fields. Theoretical predictions for positron production rates compared with experimental results. Emphasize is laid on effects due nuclear time delay and influence electron screening both sub- supercritical collision systems.
