摘要: Metasurfaces are generally designed by placing scatterers in periodic or pseudo-periodic grids. We propose and discuss design rules for functional metasurfaces with randomly placed anisotropic elements that sample a well-defined phase function. By analyzing the focusing performance of random metasurface lenses as function their density phase-maps used to them, we find 1D is mostly governed while 2D strongly depend on both near-field coupling configuration surface. The proposed approach all-polarization metalenses at near infrared frequencies. Challenges, well opportunities compared ones discussed. Our results pave way new approaches nanophotonic structures devices from solar energy concentrators.
