摘要: This paper examines opportunities for Sub-Saharan African countries to effectively participate in globalization, particularly given the increasing interest of China and India Africa. How can Africa fully engage gain benefits from global network trade? Over past 15 years Asia has become Africa's fastest growing export market. Asian are much more open trade than Europe or America. There seems be no evidence suggest that this trend will not continue near future. The authors acknowledge numerous caveats Asia's continent, least resource curse exports heavily concentrated on oil, minerals, raw materials, as well fierce competition cheap manufactured exports. However, they believe there is strong a clear potential South-South cooperation investment. Drawing their extensive research into international value chains, identify five critical factors effective participation trade: price, speed-to-market, labor productivity, flexibility, product quality. Underlying competitive performance these country's policies institutions. Effective policies, efficient institutions, necessary infrastructure ensure best outcome trading countries.
