摘要: It has now been found that certain phenolic compounds can be used as free radical inhibitors during polymerization without deactivation of transition metal catalysts. Use such is particularly advantageous when they are substantially catalyst inactivating less substituted phenols and quinones. The invention includes a process for inhibiting deterioration in polymer by adding inhibitor or before with catalyst. not necessary to inactivate the since it advantageously does inhibit activity. preferably preceded step purifying remove which activity quinones sufficiently sterically hindered avoid Additionally, composition comprising at least one olefin monomer, having sufficient substituents hinder active group undesirably useful monomer comprises propylene, styrene derivative thereof.
