Gastrointestinal toxicity of chemotherapy and the influence of hyperalimentation.

摘要: The effect of combination chemotherapy on human small intestinal morphology and disaccharidase activities their relation with clinical chemical (fecal wet weight K-excretion) parameters for gastrointestinal toxicity were evaluated in patients disseminated malignant melanoma receiving enteral normoalimentation (NA). Also the supposed protective effects hyperalimentation (HA) an elemental diet. After chemotherapy, a comparable decrease villus height, total mucosal mitotic index was found jejunal biopsy specimens both groups. However, NA group, crypt depth decreased (in contrast to HA group), whereas group deteriorated lower values than group. authors no correlation between levels morphology, nor there these variables, fecal diarrhea, suggesting that diarrhea occurring after not due loss tissue or enzyme activities. A diet could be established.
