摘要: A general approach is presented for covalently attaching carboxyl and primary amino groups to Ficoll other high molecular weight polysaccharides in a readily controlled manner. The are omicron-carboxymethylated with chloroacetate NaOH solutions. Amino next introduced by monoamide formation ethylenediamine using water-soluble carbodiimide. Reactions carried out aqueous solutions; excess reactants by-products removed dialysis. Three different ways coupling the 2,4-dinitrophenyl hapten derivative of described. Preliminary evidence indicates that 2,4-dinitrophenyl-Ficolls, prepared procedures developed this study, potent thymus-independent antigens which can specifically stimulate B cells both vivo vitro.
