摘要: Although voice disorder is ordinarily first detected by listening, hearing little used in measurement. Auditory critical band approaches to the quantitative analysis of dysphonia are compared with results applying cycle-by-cycle time based methods and from a listening test. The comparisons show that quite large rough/smooth differences, readily perceptible, not as robustly measurable using either peripheral human GammaTone spectrograms, or cepstral prominence algorithm, they may be when computations linked temporal criteria. implications these tentative observations discussed for development clinically relevant analyses pathological signals special reference analytic advantages employing appropriate auditory
