摘要: There is increased use of nanomaterials in many applications due to their unique properties, such as high surface area and reactivity. However, the potential health effects workers, consumers environment exposed nanoparticles (NPs) unknown. The aim this study was investigate whether NPs which may enter body could adsorb proteins interaction affects both particle protein function. cytokines IL-8 TNF-α were adsorbed significantly more by 14 nm carbon black (CB) compared with a similar dose 260 nm CB. Uncoated CB particles produced significant increase intracellular calcium [Ca2 + ]i greater than mass an ICAM-1 expression A549 epithelial cells at comparable CB, after coating control cells. bound induced level that no level, suggesting activity be inhibited. These results suggest NP–protein decrease function cellular assays tested currently being investigated.
