摘要: The aims of crystal engineering are the understanding intermolecular interactions and their application in design structures with specific architectures properties. In general, all types may be considered but this article is limited to organic molecular solids. Because basis chemistry, obvious question arises as whether there simple connections between molecules crystals that they form. Answers such questions found through a better more comprehensive control packing. These include strong weak hydrogen bonds. Patterns interactions, would useful predictive sense, can obtained by manual inspection or rigorously use crystallographic databases. Such patterns termed supramolecular synthons depict various ways which complementary portions approach one another. identification then key step analysis structures. ideas also important phenomena biological recognition drug-enzyme binding. Pattern leads possibility comparison synthon concept facilitates efforts regard it mentioned combine topological characteristics chemical information, thereby offering simplification optimal drawing comparisons.
