摘要: Abstract This paper investigates the bearing properties of mechanically fastened glass-fiber/vinyl-ester composite joints. Two glass composites different fabrics and lay-ups were fabricated by vacuum-assisted resin-transfer molding (VARTM) tested using a double-lap joint configuration. The results this study are presented as experimental characterization analytical prediction. major focus part was to characterize failure behavior these composites. effects geometric parameters evaluated correlated with resulting strength modes statistical method analysis variance. From obtained, it is concluded that edge-distance ratio (e/d) thickness specimen strongly affect On other hand, mode determined width (w/d). In study, Chang’s strength-prediction model, which based on two-dimensional finite-element analysis, utilized predict predicted values compared data obtained from suggest model can be used give accurate predictions
