摘要: Energy homeostasis in mitochondria is vital for proper muscle cell function. In this review we will focus on cardiac and skeletal energy-dissipating systems, i.e., mitochondrial potassium channels uncoupling proteins. Despite the molecular differences between these proteins both of them may regulate generation reactive oxygen species. Hence, they can modulate pro-life -death signaling response to needs cell. Certain (such as ATP-regulated large conductance calcium-activated channels) be regulated a similar manner suggesting that are part hub mitochondria. Understanding role proteins, especially context ischemia-reperfusion injury muscle, important pharmacological intervention. This highlights several aspects regulation their association with diseases.
