摘要: The methanolic and methane dichloride extracts of aerial parts Larrea divaricata Cay. (Jarilla) plants exhibited a pronounced cytotoxic effect by arresting cell viability at level 35% against the MCF-7 line, human breast adenocarcinoma, while only weak was observed for aqueous extract. Apoptosis detected flow cytometry, using annexin V cytological detection with fluorescein diacetate / propidium iodide staining. V, as well uptake diacetate/propidium staining, revealed that L. treatment cells resulted in rapid plasma membrane perturbation triggered cellular death (>70%). Methanolic were submitted to further bioassay-guided purification, involving fractionation chromatography. 0.1% (w/w) nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) found, which displayed citotoxic activity.
