摘要: Current preservation strategies range from the storage of cells, tissues, and organs for hours at hypothermic temperatures (from 25°C to 4°C) extended periods time (i.e., years) ultralow, subfreezing (-80°C or below). Biologic serves many practical useful purposes in today's society, ranging biological material research use medical transplantation procedures. Regardless end use, goal is extend window function. In pursuit development improved biopreservation methodologies, recent investigations have implicated activation genetically programmed cell death, apoptosis, pathological necrosis, as limiting factors. Accordingly, we review field cryopreservation apoptosis an effort provide a guide future evaluations into role failure.
