摘要: To find if platelet-derived growth factor contributes to liver fibrosis in chronic disease, we studied the expression of B-chain this cytokine and its beta-receptor livers patients with hepatitis or cirrhosis. Seventeen were included study. Five specimens tissue obtained during autopsy from subjects without disease used as controls. The location peptides was identified by an immunohistochemical technique monoclonal antibodies. Expression mRNA for assessed situ hybridization. Cells stained expressing macrophages. In control tissues, only a few cells stained. patients' specimens, most portal areas their number increased histologic damage. intralobular areas, seen regions focal necrosis. Portal mesenchymal perisinusoidal expressed beta-receptor. These dense periportal where many myofibroblast-like seen. findings suggest that is released mainly macrophages involved inflammatory reactions. This probably acts on cells, may be implicated disease.
