摘要: Due to the steady increase of Asian female students and scholars at U.S. higher education institutions, this research examines how women use connections when seeking faculty employment. The investigates shifting career strategies coped with their dual minority status being a foreigner in highly masculine fields science engineering. data explores social networking processes that aid academic job placement engineering within southwest Using qualitative approach interviews document analysis, study networks for members theoretical framework network theory transnational migration are applied examine on 24 from 8 countries employed 2 Research I universities. spanned 3 phases: migration, training, career.
