摘要: Clinical pathology is a valuable means for assessing specific organ and screening tool general animal health. Routine clinical evaluation in mice usually includes whole blood complete count (CBC) biochemistry analysis. Acquisition analysis of these samples can be problematic due to the small volumes that obtained from mouse. Typically, requires tube containing an anticoagulant, whereas profile needs serum clot tube. Because volume obtained, splitting single mouse into 2 different tubes may result inadequate perform desired tests or introduce inaccuracies. We explored feasibility using lithium heparin generation CBC, profile, serology profile. also evaluated consistency CBC data, including quality peripheral smear taken EDTA after various storage times. found biochemistry, profiles could more readily when were placed than separate tubes. In addition, smears results comparable (with few exceptions) those prolonged storage.
