摘要: In view of the wide interest in applications statistical methods for discrete multivariate data and limited number texts available, this book is a welcome addition to literature. With exception two-way contingency tables, literature on qualitative too widely scattered casual user find easily. This due partly recent dramatic increase activity field, some special characteristics data. Complex tables admit variety models which may be difficult describe simply. Distribution theory usually approximate techniques based asymptotic lead reasonable solutions same problem. Estimation practice because algorithms with closed do not always exist. As corollary, analyses can done only aid computer. volume presents "systematic treatment large troublesome irregularities." Results, heretofore literature, are organized by "presenting parametric models, sampling schemes, basic theory, practical examples, advice computation." The intended audience both theoretical applied statistician. massive scope bulk. encyclopedic quality work suggested an outline chapters, sections, sub-sections. It requires five-hundred lines!
