摘要: A 32-year-old man with keratoconus developed corneal melting 5 days after riboflavin/ultraviolet-A collagen crosslinking (CXL). Corneal scraping was positive for Acanthamoeba. The patient unaware that he wearing a bandage contact lens and repeatedly rinsed his face eyelids tap water. Because of perforation, large therapeutic keratoplasty chaud performed. Although CXL is considered safe procedure, this case emphasizes the potential risks. We discuss effects deepithelialization, placement, instillation topical nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs anesthetic agents, possible role apoptosis when performing treatment keratoconus.
