摘要: In this overview article we present some of the key projects pursue in our Emmy Noether group. Our work is focused on nearby galaxies, where use multi-wavelength, state-of-the-art survey data to probe distribution, abundance and properties gas dust interstellar medium (ISM) ∼ kpc scales. We study average, radial distributions atomic (H I) molecular hydrogen (H2) across disks spiral galaxies assess local (on 1 scales) correlations between H I, H2 star formation rate (SFR) surface densities inner, optical sample 30 galaxies. The short depletion times (∼ 2 Gyr) find raises question if how refueled galactic disks. look for such signatures flows I compelling evidence at least one case. extend compare gas-SFR studies outer conditions change significantly ISM, e.g., low metallicity abundance. focus low-metallicity further with detailed ISM dwarf combine spectroscopic observations infrared modelling learn about composition physical ISM.
