摘要: Mast cell-derived prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) is the major prostanoid found within airway of asthmatics immediately following allergen challenge. PGD2 has been shown to have chemokinetic effects on eosinophils and T helper type 2 (Th2) cells in vitro. This occurs through interaction with G-protein-coupled chemokine receptor homologous molecule expressed Th2 lymphocytes (CRTH2). The expression CRTH2 be highly selective for cells. Using flow cytometry we studied blood bronchoalveolar lavage fluid normal subjects. was confined a small percentage (1.8%+/-0.2) (1.6%+/-0.2) enriched significantly interleukin (IL)-4+/IL-13+ compared interferon (IFN)-gamma+ (P<0.001). There population CRTH2+ (BAL) (2.3%+/-0.6) subjects (0.3%+/-0.1), there significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). were similar amounts BAL asthma Within paired blood-BAL samples from same subject no increase asthmatics. Enrichment IL-4+ IL-13+ IFN-gamma+ also seen preferentially by IL-4+/IL-13+ However, given their numbers they are unlikely involvement pathogenesis asthma. antagonism may not diminish cell accumulation asthmatic lung.
