摘要: Liagora ceranoides, originally described from the Virgin Islands in Caribbean Sea, has been widely reported Indo-Pacific but can easily be confused with other species/genera of Liagoraceae field. In this study, we examined vegetative and reproductive morphology L. ceranoides-like specimens Taiwan New Caledonia western Pacific Ocean Western Australia eastern Indian Ocean, inferred their phylogenetic relationships along related genera on basis rbcL sequence analyses. The molecular analyses demonstrated that clustered into two distantly clades were characterized reproductively: clade I possessed unfused postfertilization carpogonial-branch cells slightly diffuse gonimoblasts II (including type region ceranoides) had fused compact gonimoblasts. We therefore proposed new genus species Yoshizakia indopacifica to include identified I. Our indicated Liagoracean relatively long involucral filaments carpogonial branches closely related. was readily separated by a combination behaviour development following presumed fertilization. addition, our have confirmed previously suggested occurrence northeast southwest Titanophycus setchellii, Neoizziella asiatica Macrocarpus perennis, all northern or central Ocean.
