The influence of alkali ions size on the superbroadband NIR emission from bismuth-doped alkali aluminoborophosphsilicate glasses

摘要: Abstract Glasses with compositions of 34.5SiO 2 –25AlPO 4 –12.5Al O 3 –12.5B –15R O–0.5Bi ( R  = Li, Na, K) were synthesized. Characteristic absorption bands bismuth centered at 500, 700, and 800 nm broadband near infrared (NIR) emissions peaked 1100 1300 nm observed. With the change alkali ion (Li +  → Na  → K ), intensity 500 increase, while two NIR decrease. The dependence emission on radius is found to be opposite that in previous reports, being ascribed abnormal reduction Bi glasses investigated herein. results this work helpful for understanding nature Bi-NIR-emission, was proposed originate from according influence ions sizes.
