摘要: By using data from three bibliographic databases in biology, physics, and mathematics, respectively, networks are constructed which the nodes scientists, two scientists connected if they have coauthored a paper. We use these to answer broad variety of questions about collaboration patterns, such as numbers papers authors write, how many people write them with, what typical distance between is through network, patterns vary subjects over time. also summarize number recent results by other on coauthorship patterns.
