摘要: Eicosanoid lipid mediators (prostaglandins, thromboxanes, and leukotrienes) play an important role in mammalian biochemistry serving as chemical substances of intracellular communication cellular activation. Discoveries their biological activities roles normal physiology pathophysiology are legion. An question to consider with such biologically active compounds is how activity terminated. For eicosanoids, metabolism the primary mechanism by which these removed from tissues ultimately body. Therefore, a central facet studying has been investigations into means eicosanoids metabolically converted other subsequently eliminated.
