摘要: Oncology is undergoing a data-driven metamorphosis. Armed with new and ever more efficient molecular information technologies, we have entered an era where data helping us spearhead the fight against cancer. This technology driven explosion, often referred to as "big data", not only expediting biomedical discovery, but it also rapidly transforming practice of oncology into science. evolution critical, results to-date revealed immense complexity genetic heterogeneity patients their tumors, sobering reminder challenge facing every patient oncologist. can be addressed through development clinico-molecular analytics that provide deeper understanding mechanisms controlling biological clinical response available therapeutic options. Beyond exciting implications for improved care, such advancements in predictive evidence-based stand profoundly affect processes cancer drug discovery associated trials.
