摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the effect high-influent-concentration suspended solids (SS) on cultivation, structure and long-term stability aerobic granular sludge (AGS). Cultivation AGS were monitored in two pilot-scale sequencing batch reactors fed with raw (R1) settled (R2) domestic wastewater, representing high medium SS content, respectively. real wastewater had chemical oxygen demand (COD) content (1100 ± 270 mg COD L−1). Aerobic cultivated 44 days 25 under conditions settling velocity (18 m h−1) organic loading rate (OLR) (2.1–2.4 kg m3 day). both similar structural properties during operation remained structurally functionally stable last five months operation. Comparative evaluation results indicated that influent a positive influence maintaining significantly lower SVI30 relatively effluent concentration. Moreover, higher resulted smaller mature granules period. Microbial community analyses helped understand showed retention time OLR affected population. increased biomass detachment from surface caused wash-out some bacteria colonizing exterior sludge.
