Identifying randomized clinical trials in Spanish-language dermatology journals.

摘要: Abstract Background The necessary foundation for good clinical practice lies in knowledge derived from research. Evidence randomized trials (RCTs) is the pillar on which decisions about therapy are based. Objective To search exhaustively and rigorously to identify RCTs dermatology journals published Spanish. Methods We located through following engines indexes: PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, Periodica, Latindex, Indice Medico Espanol, C-17, IBECS, EMBASE, IMBIOMED. also sought information associations dermatologists countries where Spanish was usual language of publication, we searched Internet (Google). Afterwards electronically manually all available volumes issues, checking year publication started 2012. Results Of 28 identified, included 21 search. found a total 144 since 1969; 78 (54%) were Latin American 66 (46%) journals. most frequent disease contexts psoriasis, mycoses, acne vulgaris. In journals, common warts, vulgaris, skin ulcers lower limbs. Manual searches identified more than electronic searches. Conclusions larger number RCTs. Relatively fewer English-language facilitated access full texts by many journals; however, free open these still unavailable large journal issues not posted online.
