摘要: The data presented in this report strongly suggest that the genome of zebrafish, Brachydanio rerio, has a homeobox cluster which is equivalent to murine Hox-2 locus. In support conclusion, we have found two closely linked zebrafish genes are true homologues mouse Hox-2.1 and Hox-2.2 genes. Here describe structural functional properties homologue hox-2.2. Furthermore, identified another gene related hox-2.2 appears correspond Hox-6.1 Hox-3 order characterize determined genomic DNA sequence 3.4 kb SalI fragment. This revealed transcription unit encodes putative protein 228 amino acids. homeodomains proteins almost identical extensive identity exists other regions proteins, share 160 (70%) acid residues. Also terms expression, strong similarities were observed relative gene. Transcripts derived from start accumulate when somite formation initiated. Later development these transcripts detected mainly central nervous system. Reminiscent Hox-2.2, rostral boundary expression located posterior region hindbrain. Notably, untranslated contain several short sequences known homeodomain recognition sequence.
