摘要: TAN, H.L., et al.: Adenosine Induced Ventricular Arrhythmias in the Emergency Room. While adenosine effectively terminates most supraventricular tachycardias (SVT), rare case reports have demonstrated its proarrhythmic potential, including induction of ventricular tachycardia (VT). The aim this study was to define effects a large, unselected population. During 5-year period, used (average dose 9.7 mg) emergency room manage 187 episodes 127 patients. In two thirds cases, induced ectopy following successful termination SVT, premature complexes (PVC) and nonsustained VT. PVCs VT were transient self-terminating. More than half had right bundle branch block morphology with superior axis that suggested an origin inferior left septum. conclusion, although is commonly clinical practice treat SVTs, we found it high incidence arrhythmias infusion surprising but did not require further intervention. These appeared frequently originate from septum, suggesting area may be particularly susceptible adenosine.
